We Honor your Story and Cultivate your Vision - bringing your Dreams into the Light!
Through 8 years of operation, we’ve seen a little bit of everything. Deluxe glamping suites and full-time living abodes, private yoga pavilions and sanctuary libraries, anything is possible! We are well versed in helping tune your master plan for optimal performance. With dozens of unique projects in our portfolio, across varying climates and site conditions - we have solutions for everyone. Here are a few of our favourite!
Mary’s Sky Temple
Nested in the Catskills of New York, this special lodge serves a broad community of both facilitators and clients. It’s primary function is as a sound-healing temple, additionally serving women’s retreats and therapeutic body works.
Sweet Jane’s Lil’Tata
This nurturing sanctuary sits atop an historic mountain ridge in Madison County, NC. It is a part of a larger retreat center, oriented on giving artists and musicians a deep communion with the creative wells of our mountains and skies. This yurt is a daily sanctuary for Lizzie and serves her community for full moon circles and music workshops.
Odd Bits Farm
This project started it all. Can you believe that the very first yurt I made featured a split dutch door, steam bent cherry frame, and traditional cross-arch crown? We really went for it - and most of this original design still remains (with a lot of fine tuning, of course). This little 16’ lodge served as a full time residence for 8 years, before migrating across the mountains to live a second life.
The Winged Gateway
An an Architect and Cultural Anthropologist, I love bringing procession and portals into our projects. Here, we drafted inspiration from traditional Japanese Torii Gates into this ceremonial entry-way arch for the Sky Temple at Sweet Jane’s. Framed in Western Cedar and constructed using traditional jointery methods, this gateway will live and protect this site for a century!
The Doc’s Jam Tent
In Berkley Springs, a hip little mountain community in West Virginia, a Doctor and Theatrical Musician has cultivated his yurt into a sweet session space and small concert venue. It hosts guests and patrons wonderfully, paired with excellent infrastructure and specialty lights from his days in theater design.
Joanna’s Nest
This cozy home is one of our favourite interiors. Yurts showcase an intuitive harmony and orderly geometry. The frame puts the human inhabitant at rest and ease. Soft materials envelop the nest from the outside elements - creating a soft space for the mind to unravel and heart to create.
